I have a cold.

But my Dayquil is doing a nice job of masking it!

I got to enjoy some Teriyaki Macaroni Salad today!

And I stumbled upon this and thought it was funny :) The lady kinda looks like Santana from Glee...

Today's Horoscope.

Could it be any more spot-on for this day? I'm not going to go into details of why this is so relevant to me, but just trust that it is.

"You cannot change the past, Gemini. This is a simple fact. What's done is done. However, you can change your perception of a past experience. You can open your eyes to something that you once saw one way, and see it another way. When a dramatic and possibly traumatic event happened in your life sometime in the past year, you couldn't look at it objectively. You may have felt wronged. You may have felt betrayed. But it wasn't really as black and white as all that. Explore other perspectives. Try to see it through someone else's eyes, and you may find enough peace to rise above it."

P.s. my best friend and I are learning how to yodel tonight. So productive!

Love these!!!

I seriously devoured them in like 5 minutes. Gluttony? No. The whole bag is only 60 calories!! But then again, it is Fat Tuesday... which is why me and my friends are having a potluck feast tonight, complete with beads and masks! :)

I'm still here!

I know it's been a while since I've written on here, but here I am now!
Today is my wonderful friends', Britt and Paige, birthday!  They are both 22, which means that they're almost half-way to mid twenties! AHHH!! I remember when I thought that being 16 was the perfect age to be.  It signified being a real teenager for me. It's strange to think of how much I've grown in the past 5+ years: I graduated high school, fell in love, got in to college, left home, experienced trauma, survived the trauma, found my best friend/sister, made memories for a lifetime, and now I'm about to graduate and step into my post-school life. It's scary. I don't know if I'm ready for it, but whether I am or not, life still comes at me regardless.

Enough of my personal life, here are some recipes that I would love to try soon!

French Onion Soup Crostini

Walden and Weekends.

I'm really excited to start reading Walden, or Life in the Woods by Henry David Thoreau. I waited about two and a half weeks for the book to arrive in the mail. I cant complain too much though; it was only $3.  Maybe one day I will build a house by a pond and live the simple life!

I feel that my weeks are pretty busy, and my weekends are usually crazy. So I've decided that at least one night of the weekend, I should take time off from school or work or going out. Tonight it entails drinking some wine while watching Land Before Time on Netflix. Later, I will be smoking hookah with my housemate too.  All I need to end my night is some herbal tea and aroma therapy!

P.S. a big thanks to my Paleontology class for teaching me the connection between Ducky and Hadrosaurs.  And for ruining Petrie, who is actually a Pterosaur, not a Dinosaur.... he probably wasn't even alive during the same time as the rest of the cast because he thrived mostly in the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, while Spike, Sarah, and Sharptooth lived at the very end of the Cretaceous. See... I'm studying, right?

I know, Ducky. It's sad...
